What you will do

As a Sourcing Lead, you will utilize your sourcing expertise to lead strategic/tactical buying and Indirect category strategies at a Fortune-ranked company. As you partner with our internal team and client stakeholders to ensure we can meet project goals with clients, you will also be mentoring and directing resources across our engagement.

 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Implement category strategy plans and sourcing execution of procurement for S2C program
  • Establishing, identifying and developing negotiation strategies, maintaining 3PL supplier relationship to ensure savings, timely supply and other benefits for purchases, business analytics, savings reporting and tracking.
  • Using technology and client ERP system for procurement operations and suggesting improvements tailored to the client
  • Demonstrating continuous effort to improve operations, manage SOP’s, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes.
  • Managing all supplier selection and procurement activities (e.g. RFI, RFP, RFQ, Scorecard and Bid Analysis, etc.)
  • Reviewing orders for accuracy and compliance with existing policies and procedures

What you should bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree required with 5-8 years of procurement experience
  • Experience in Logistics and other industrial categories a plus
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Multi-tasking as needed to manage various procurement projects/tasks at once while partnering with various stakeholders
  • Ability to lead and manage meetings effectively and communicate with all levels of management at our client organization
  • Advanced analytical, reporting and presentation skills i.e. regarding creating baselines, performing market tests/analyses, summarizing the key points succinctly by email/in presentations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers/vendors
  • Based at client site in Toronto, willing to travel 40% (2 days a week) to other sites in North America (US/Canada)
